Pastels are another technique in art. Pastels are a form of paint that are still in powder pigment forms. Pastels come in both hard or soft pigments, soft usually coming out with more pigments. Painters usually combine both pastels and either acrylic paints or oil paints.
I personally prefer combining my pastels with my acrylic paints but multiple different artist around the world combine them with whatever forms of color that they want.
This is an example of my own artwork with pastels and acrylic paint markers. Artists tend to combine various forms of paints and colors together.
