The Last Supper

The Last Supper

The Last Supper is a Tempera and oil painting on plaster. The last supper is a painting that shows Jesus Christ’s last meal before Judas had him arrested.

Oil paints are the best paints to get a lot of detail in small areas because they blend well together unlike acrylic paints.  Acrylics paints are what I used on my mural and by looking at it you can tell that I couldn’t get as much detail as Leonardo Di Vinci could in the last supper.

The last supper is 15” by 29” feet long and was created in the year 1498.

Chancay Culture

The Chancay Culture existed between the 12th-14th century. As you can tell sculptures have changed a lot since then. This picture is named Pair of Figures. The Chancay people did not include many details in their sculpture, but they did make the difference between male and female because they always paired them together.

These sculptures are ceramic and about 7" in height. Most sculptures in the Chancay sculpture were kept very together and in pairs. They are dressed in typical Chancay head dresses, although the females ear ornaments are always larger and the male wore a typical Chancay hat.

The sculptures were often buried together with their dead guardians.

The Power of Art

Art can be a very powerful subject. Some people don't understand how much art can express so much, such as different cultures or religions. I will be sharing my knowledge about how art is an important aspect in the world. Art has been changing over time and expresses age.

I have loved art since I was very little and I plan to be an art teacher after college. I even have a mural for the language hallway at my school.
